IOA Group to reward Innovation at EAG

(December 22nd) – "The IOA Group, the UK's largest independent machine operator, has announced that it will hold its second Innovation Awards at January's EAG show at ExCel. The 2011 award winners will be announced by IOA Chairman John Powell at a special presentation event taking place on the 24th January, the first day of the exhibition."

Explaining the importance and purpose of the Innovation Awards John Powell said: "The IOA Group enjoys an extremely close and productive relationship with manufacturers in the gaming and amusements sectors. The fact that we have no direct or indirect manufacturing interests means they are able to discuss issues, ideas and future concepts with us in total confidence. We know how difficult it is to continue to invest in R&D in what are extremely demanding trading conditions, and our awards recognise those companies which continue to innovate and continue to provide us with the best in breed products that our customers need in order to drive their machine income.

He added: "Innovation and an ability to harness the latest technologies in order to improve performance and in turn enhance machine revenues, have been the cornerstones of this business. It is those companies who match hard work with great ideas who will play a fundamental role in taking the gaming and amusements industry forward and who should be commended for their efforts and commitment." The IOA Awards comprise Best Product of 2011 and Innovation of the Year. The 2010 awards were won by Bell Fruit Games and JCM, respectively.
